Goodbye Party

On Saturday, August 23nd I had a farewell party. It was bittersweet to see friends that I might not get to see again (and some I haven't seen in a LONG while). I BBQed ( and burnt) the burgers... As Kevin made sure to point out to me haha  I did NOT overcook the corn, however. It was cooked to perfection. They don't call me Martha Stewart Junior for nothing, people! (literally, that's what I'm called... We had a discussion about it.)
It was great to see Sam, Mike, Erika, Kevin, Sandra, Jillian and Tessa! I was disappointed (but understood) that some couldn't make it, including Sarah, Kevin T, Tyler, Lauren, Moira, Lane, Emily, Beth, Kathryn, and Anne. But I knew they were there with us in spirit (insert sappy tears here).

In case anyone is wondering, I'm feeling pretty witty tonight and thought I would allow everyone to enjoy it when you read my blog.
Hard to believe, I mean I literally cannot believe it! ( and my to-do list certainly hasn't gotten the memo) that Liz and I have about a week until our take off date! So MUCH TO DO!! If only I could get organized and deal with these piles in my room. Oh yeah, and also pack my bags... that might help.

Until next time,
Jenna

T-Minus 2 Weeks Until Departure!

Hi Everyone,
If you're reading this it's probably because I sent you the link so you'd be able to keep up with my adventures in the United Kingdom. As I write this, it is almost 9pm EST and Liz and I will be leaving for the UK in a little over two weeks from now (September 2nd!).
Until that date arrives, I am keeping busy with packing, work, more packing, purging (I'm a hoarder!) and enjoying time with friends...and did I mention more packing?
I'm looking forward to this new adventure with a very good friend of mine, but I'm also a little nervous to be leaving some amazing friends at home. It is my hope that this blog will act as means of communicating and keeping updated with the happenings of this redhead while in the UK. I'll also be emailing, skyping, and texting (from my new UK phone once I arrive).  Hopefully you can follow along and I can remember to consistently post. :)

Jenna

P.S. If you were wondering about the title of the blog, "The Redhead Jumped Over the Pond (And the Dish Ran Away with the Spoon)" it's a reference to the children's nursery rhyme "Hey Diddle Diddle." I tried to think of something witty, and this was the best I could come up with.
